Amy Silva, 86, of Pahala, passed away Nov. 3 at home. Born Sept. 9, 1931, in Kealakekua, Kona, Hawaii; she was a homemaker and a member of the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Pahala International Longshoreman’s Worker Union (ILWU) Pension Club.
Friends may call on Nov. 18 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Visitation from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.; Celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed; burial at Pahala Church Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia (Norman) Juan of Paauhau, Terry (Tim) Wright of Hilo and Michelle (Derek) Andrade of Pahala; sons, Clyde Silva and Michael (Wendy) Silva of Pahala, Chris (Melissa) Silva of Hilo; sister, Carol Catriz of Hilo; brothers in-law, Bernard (Elizabeth) Silva of Mt. View and Herbert (Karen) Kahakua of Ocean View; sisters in-law, Loretta (Wilmet) Lorenzo of Pahala, Doris Silva of Hilo and Hope Silva of Honolulu; 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Howard Masami Nakata
Howard Masami Nakata, 61, of Pauoa, Oahu and formerly of Hilo died Aug. 22 in Ewa Beach, Oahu. Born in Honolulu, he was a musician and owner of the former Music II in Hilo, a baseball coach and a member of the AJA Baseball League.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. on Nov. 18 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; a celebration of his life will begin at 11. Casual attire. Survived by daughter, Alison “Ali” (Arick Shibata) Nakata of Hilo; father, Osamu Nakata of Honolulu; numerous cousins, aunts &uncles.

Dominga Rodrigues
Dominga Rodrigues, 82, of Volcano, HI died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at a private care home in Hilo. Born on January 16, 1935, in Kohala, HI; she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph (Susan) Rodrigues of Milner, Georgia and David (Laura) Rodrigues of Volcano, HI; a sister, Adele Degmair of Kona, HI; a brother, Albert Gusman; and five grandchildren.
Carleen Bennett
Carleen Ann Tidwell Bennett, 52, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 2, 2017, at Kona Community. Born July 20, 1965 in Fairfield, California, she was a tower technician for Lone Star Wireless Services in El Paso, Texas, a home builder, former waitress and dental assistant.

She is survived by son, Casey (Larissa) Berdon of Waikoloa; daughter, Lacy (Paul Cabuag) Berdon of Kailua Kona; sisters, Cindy Tidwell of Waimea, Michelle Rodrigues; brothers, Chris (Melvina) Rodrigues all of Honokaa, Charles (Allison) Tidwell of Ponder, Texas; six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
